What does it mean to be a member?

To be a member of In His Presence Family Worship Center (IHP) means that you are a part of the family of God and we the Leadership of IHP along with the membership covenant to pray for you and your family, to help you in your hour of need. We will pick you up when you are fallen, we promise to love you with the love of Christ. When you hurt we hurt, when you rejoice we will rejoice. Welcome to the family of God.

Pray daily that God’s blessings be upon you.
Study the Word and diligently seek God on your behalf.
Minister the Word of God to you.

IHP Membership Covenant

Having received Christ as my Lord and Savior, and having been baptized, and being in agreement with the purpose and vision of In His Presence Family Worship Center, I now feel led by the Holy Spirit to unite with the IHP church family. In doing so, I commit myself to God and to the other members to do the following:

I will share in the responsibility of my church:

By praying for its growth.
By inviting the unsaved to attend.
By warmly welcoming those who visit.

“We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers” (1 Thess. 1:2)

“Then the master said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges and urge and constrain [them] to yield and come in so that my house may be filled.” (Luke 14:23 AMPV)

“Wherefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.” (Rom. 15:7)

I will protect the unity of my church

By acting in love toward other members.
By refusing to gossip.
By following the leaders.

“So then let us pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another” (Rom.14: 19)
“Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart.” (1 Peter 1:22)
“Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear.” (Eph. 4:29)
“Obey your leaders, and submit to them; for they keep watch over your souls, as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.” (Heb. 13:17)

I will serve the ministry of my church:

By discovering my gifts and talents.
By being equipped to serve with my pastors.
By developing a servant’s heart.

“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:10)

“And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body in Christ.” (Eph. 4:11-12)
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important that himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests but also for the interests of others.” (Phil. 2:3-4)

I will support the testimony of my church:

By attending faithfully.
By living a godly life.
By giving regularly.

“not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” (Heb. 10:25)

“Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ;” (Phil. 1:27)

“Each one of you, on the first day of each week, should set aside a specific sum of money in proportion to what you have earned and used it for the offering” (1 Cor. 16:2 LB)
